General Principle of Probability
Meaning of Probability:
Simply probability means the possibility of occurring a particular event among many actions.It not only refers to occurring possibility but also to not occurring.
Process of Determination of Probability:
For the calculation or determination of probability of certain incident,we need to take in account of number of total possible cases and number of favorable cases.
Total possible cases means total number of events happening and total favorable cases means number of cases having chance to occur.For example,if a coin is tosses,there are two possible cases and one favorable case.Either head or tail is obtained but it is never that both is obtained in a toss of one coin.That means probability of head is 1\2 and for tail is also 1\2.
Hence to find the probability of a system,we divide total number of favorable cases to the total number of possible cases.
